Sam uttered these words the other day and I just about fell over.
You see he has a knack for interrupting. He's actually pretty good at it. It burns me up at times. I take it as a total lack of respect and I usually respond poorly when he does.
But just by this comment he knows that it is rude. Which is good that he knows but bad that he does it. How does a parent handle this situation. I've done it right and I've crashed and burned (to quote the movie Top Gun).
How challenging it is that I correct him for many things that I do myself.
We are blessed to be the parents of two genius boys - Jeffrey and Sam - who every day provide some sort of incredible challenge and joy to us. They are sometimes very difficult to understand and we admittedly struggle with this. But many times we feel we waste our most valuable resources - our kids - and we'd like to welcome you to a look at our world from our point of view. We welcome your feedback and your comments

More Perfect Pitch
We were watching Shrek over the weekend - I think it was Shrek 2 - when the fairy Godmother was going to perform a song and she instructs the band. "Hit it boys... in B minor". Well, Sam decides to put his two cents worth in after they start playing and tells his mom. That song is in G minor.
His mom and I just look at each other and laugh. What a gift!
